I have been enrolled Lincoln Park Family Center for almost a year, and when I first came my life was full of obstacles that prevented me from being the best parent that I can be. Kyra as my FDS has been my ear to listen and my shoulder to cry on when I needed it.
I was in a bad relationship that I since have gotten out of it. With the encouragement and love shown to my children and I, we are no longer facing homelessness, unemployment or domestic violence. I’m currently in the process of renting a three bedroom house in Penn Hills, working two jobs, and interacting with my children as best as I can.
Kyra and I have also developed a friendship outside of the program and I will be forever grateful for all her help.
I would recommend this program to anyone who is need of an extra push in life.
