PA Pre-K Counts teacher, Mrs. Kaitlyn Zukowski Blairsville-Saltsburg School District Saltsburg, shares the achievements of her students.
My name is Kaitlyn Zukowski and I am the Pre-Kindergarten teacher at Saltsburg Elementary School for the Blairsville-Saltsburg School District. I look forward to sharing my story with you about my students’ learning experiences and accomplishments.
All of our Pre-K students are special in their individual ways. They all bring unique characteristics into the classroom environment.
The Pre-K student’s rapport with one another is inspiring. They interact and learn from each other as they grow and develop. My dreams that I have for my students is to never give up and to enjoy life to their fullest. It is my goal to help them strive to be the individual to help someone and teach others. They lead by example, by listening, sharing, and caring and how their actions may make others feel.
I wish for them to all be successful in life, and perhaps be the one person that can make a difference in others’ lives as well. We have an amazing curriculum called the OWL that we use with our students to help them learn and grow. Their interactions with one another help teach them to be good students. Learning through play and having a fun structured curriculum and learning environment help them develop. Also, if they need early intervention for extra help it can make a big difference in future success.
We are fortunate to have wonderful faculty and staff members in our school that help our students meet their needs. Our Pre-K students know that they are safe and loved by the support they receive from their teachers. The interactions that the teachers and students have together is positive, which makes them feel secure and loved. We are there for all of them.
We have seen all our Pre-K students grow and be achievers in our Pre-K Counts Program. Our Pre-K Counts has been successful in meeting our students needs and to helping them prepare for Kindergarten. Our Pre-K students would not be where they are without the support of their families and our community as well. All of our Pre-K students’ families are wonderful to work with and are always there for each other. Our Pre-K Counts Program would not be where it is today without all the help and support from everyone.
