Mom, Naela, shares how the Parents As Teachers Program has made an impact with her family.
Being new parents can be overwhelming, especially when it comes to your children’s education and well-being. Enrolling in the Parents as Teachers program, since 2016, has helped our family overcome many questions and obstacles we have faced throughout the years.
Ms. Kristin has always been ready to help guide and advise us on any child-related issues we may have faced. She’s assisted us with introducing new educational strategies, be it through reading, role-playing, and/or drawing. She’s helped us with finding age appropriate activities within the community, as well as, referring us to specialists that may have been needed.
Although we were all impacted by Covid, this did not stop us from interacting and having home visits. Till this day, our children love hearing and seeing Ms. Kristin and played a large role in our children’s life during this pandemic. Parents as teachers have become a part of our growing family and we couldn’t be happier. Thank you for all your insights and guidance!
