As a single parent, finding a community partner I respected and trusted to care for my child was critical.

My daughter, Caroline (now 9) has been in child care with Snyder Union Mifflin Child Development (SUMCD) since she was 18 months old. I’ve seen the organization care for her as a toddler, a preschooler, in summer camp, and after school. She has thrived.

I can’t say enough good things about her teachers. They make it clear through every interaction that they value education and individuality.

Caroline’s after school program has built her confidence, rewarded her creativity, given her specialized and individual attention, and helped her explore ideas I don’t always have time to engage in at home. Instead of feeling guilty, as some parents do when their child is in someone else’s care,

I am absolutely thrilled that Caroline has this opportunity to develop social and intellectual skills. Caroline’s participation in this afterschool program has enhanced both of our lives.
