My family has been with Duquesne Family Center for over three years and we have used many of their services.
Most recently, in the month of October 2017, we moved to a better home. The only furniture I had was the children beds and I had no money to buy other furniture. I called different organizations that claimed to be able to help families with this particular need. I was told either they could not help me or I would have to wait and the waiting time was indefinite. This meant my children and I would have to sit on the living room floor and eat our meals on the floor because we had no living room or kitchen/dining room furniture.
I called the family center for help. Within a week the furniture (in good condition) that we needed was delivered to my home. The Duquesne Family Center helped me and my children and I am so grateful.
