A grandparent shares her experience with PA Pre-K Counts

I would like to write this short letter to share my PA Pre-K Counts experience this year. My granddaughter spends a lot of time with me. I like to help her with her letters and numbers. When we found out about the program, we looked into it. At first she was shy about being around the other children, but gradually she became comfortable and made new friends. (more…)

Putting Education into Practice

Working for PA Pre-K Counts gives me the opportunity to take all of my education and experience and put them into practice. I am able to build learning centers that foster cognitive and social development while keeping the children’s interests and abilities as my guide. One day, as I stood in the middle of my classroom and observed the children, I wanted to take a snapshot of all that was occurring in just one moment of time. (more…)

A Centre County dad shares his pleasure at the progress his son is making in PA Pre-K Counts

This is Jinkun, father of David who is attending the Universe of Wonder class in Bennett Family Center by help of PA Pre-K Counts program. I am grateful for the PA Pre-K Counts program as one of the beneficiaries, since this program helped David learn English as a second language while playing with friends and teachers. (more…)
