A Bradford County mom shares how her son is learning in PA Pre-K Counts

I have been asked to provide a testimonial on the positive effects of Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts. I could not be more pleased to do so!

My son, Cody Jones, is in his first year with his teachers in this program. I am a veteran of the United States Air Force, and the other evening, my son reminded me exactly why I chose to serve. He began, very sweetly, by sticking out his right hand and “shaking it out.” (more…)

I am honored and proud to give you an update on Abby–what mom doesn’t like to talk about her children??!!

24164Abby is doing very well in preschool. She is working on all the same things that every preschool child is working on; learning her colors, to recognize her name, letters and numbers.

I was amazed to see how she acted one day when we went to visit her brother’s first grade classroom for a special activity. (more…)

A PA Pre-K Counts parent shares her family’s experience with the program

About one and half years ago, when my daughter was three years and eight months old, she could barely speak English, and she is the only child in our family, so you could tell how lonely and confused she was when facing the outside world. I remember one of her same age girls in the playground that made a comment on my daughter, “she couldn’t talk and she is still a baby.” (more…)

An Erie County Childcare Director shares her thoughts on how lucky Pennsylvania children are to have access to PA Pre-K Counts and Keystone STARS

In light if the budget crisis, I would like to focus on how lucky we are to live in Pennsylvania. More importantly, our children are lucky to be in Pennsylvania right now. We have a Governor who supports the importance of early childhood education. This in itself is an important step for the programs that provide services for the children of our community. (more…)

A mom share her thoughts on PA Pre-K Counts and the impact it’s made on her son

Behavior being the most improved. Before attending PA Pre-K Counts he was a very rambunctious, hyperactive child. (more…)
